Three Mission San Jose High School students got to spend their Finals Week a little differently, enjoying a week in London to attend a global education conference. Ishani Ashok, Divya Machineni and Reyna Rajkumar - 'Team Scintilla' - were selected to join 'SMART' at the LearnIt World Education Conference in London, January 21-26, 2019. The global event includes educators, government, corporations and industry to share and experience innovation in education. During the event, the three MSJHS students were on the world stage to share a preview of their Conrad challenge production on VR innovation for education.
While in London, students were also given the opportunity to join SMART at BETT, the world’s largest education technology event, which coincides with Learnit and features 800 companies providing the latest technology innovations for education. Team Scintilla created an interactive presentation for te event after school and on the weekends. Its VR innovative product was selected as "a great example of how students can directly impact the future of education through technology and innovation and we want to share your student-driven vision with leaders from around the world," according to the sponsor from SMART.
