FUSD Top Initiatives
List and descriptions of projects across the district that will be managed by FUSD
The City of Fremont (COF) and Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) are working together on several projects and initiatives to serve the citizens and their children in Fremont. The joint projects below are designed to enhance both quality of life and the quality of education in our city.
In the last several years, there has been an increase in the number of cases of pediculosis (head lice) found in Alameda County. Many of the schools in Fremont have had scattered cases.
Children with head lice will be sent home from school as soon as possible to start treatment. Parents will be contacted when head lice are found and instructions for treatment will be given to the parents. Students may return to school upon satisfactory treatment and after there are no visible lice upon re-examination.
For information on detecting and treating lice, please check the flyers.
