Refrain from touching your face

no faceStop touching your face (eyes, nose, and mouth)

  • Your face contains multiple pathways for infections to enter your body.
  • Face-touching is a natural human habit and it can be difficult to reduce.
  • We are conditioned to touch our faces because it signals public self-awareness.
  • Take a flexible approach - don't stress too much over it.
  • Keeping your hands occupied - like a stress ball or fidget toy.
  • Watch for nail biting and other triggers.
  • Ask a "buddy" to point it out – use a code word.
  • Setting a phone timer to actively remind yourself can help.
