    Horner Middle School Students Perform in All-State Ensembles

    all state band rehearsingFremont, CA - Horner Middle School students performed at the 2022 California All-State Music Education Conference (CASMEC) on February 19 and 20 as part of statewide band and choir ensembles. 

    Luna Yang, Jeffrey Lee and Mai-Ha Nghiem performed in the All-State Honor Band; this was the second year for both Yang and Lee. 

    Aayush Tarhalkar and Advika Anand performed in the All-State Honor Choir; this was Tarhalkar's second year.

    Both performances were part of CASMEC's annual statewide conference, held this year in Fresno. After going virtual last year, the return to in-person performances was particularly exciting for the students returning for a second year.

    Applications for the All-State ensembles are highly competitive, and students are supported to prepare for and fulfill the requirements by Horner's Music Directors, Mr. Paul Lorigan and Mr. Kris Cruz.
