Topics (A through K) provide information for parents/guardians to start and complete the enrollment process. When communicating with FUSD Staff please use the Topic Letter to help direct your questions.

  1. Announcements (updated 6/11/2021)

    ► School Year 2021/2022 Enrollment information is available. Do not use OLD forms.
    ► TK and Kindergarten placement letters for 2021-2022 have been mailed. If your school is not on this year's Lottery List then most likely your student will be placed in their home school.
    ► Secondary Lottery Information

  2. Enrollments (Elementary students starting August 2021) will be completed virtually. Confirm Topic C and D then see 2021/2022.

  3. Getting Started - Student Support Services Office is at 4210 Technology Drive - centralized Elementary Enrollment.
    School Locator use your address to get a sense of what school and attendance area you may be assigned with no guarantee of home school.

  4. Who can Enroll: Prerequisites
    Students must be living full-time in Fremont, CA at the time of enrollment.
    Students must be 5 years of age on or before September 1st of the current year to enroll in Kindergarten.
    Kindergarten classes are 3 hours in length. AM or PM assignments are determined by the school.
    A student cannot be enrolled in an FUSD school for the current school year if they are currently enrolled in another public or private school for the current school year.
  5. Transfer Information - Intra & Inter-District Transfers - Intra & Inter-District Transfers (Alameda County only) applications will begin being accepted on April 1, 2021. 
  6. Spanish & Mandarin Immersion Programs - FUSD Offers Two Language Immersion Programs.
  7. Lottery and Wait Lists - Elementary schools participate in a Kindergarten lottery/wait lists when more Kinder students are enrolled than available space. Overload Complaint Form (pdf).
  8. Vaccine / Immunization Update 5/20 - Important information current requirements and no Personal Beliefs Exemptions.
  9. Transitional Kindergarten Program Information - PLEASE NOTE Initial grade placement of enrolling students shall be based on chronological age (BP 5111).
  10. Science Magnet - Mattos Elementary offers opportunity to transfer into a science program. Admission is based on available space.
  11. 2018-2019 Before/After School Child Care Providers Not operated by FUSD. Providers are subject to change.
