Topics (A through M) provide information for parents/guardians to start and complete the enrollment process. When communicating with FUSD Staff please use the Topic Letter to help direct your questions.

► Virtual 2020/2021 Enrollment (Elementary and Secondary) is ongoing. Begin the process here.
►TK Enrollment for the 2020/2021 school year will end at 12 noon on 12/17/2020.
Exceptions: currently enrolled TK students who move to Fremont from another US city/state.
►School Year 2021/2022 Enrollment information is available. Forms available January 11 - Do not use OLD/currently posted forms for 2021-22. Thank You. -
Enrollments (Elementary students starting August 2020) will be completed virtually. Confirm Topic C and D then see Topic H.

Glossary common vocabulary and timeline. - Who can Enroll: Prerequisites
✓ Students must be living full-time in Fremont, CA at the time of enrollment.
✓ Students must be 5 years of age on or before September 1st of the current year to enroll in Kindergarten. Current Chart of Grades for School Year 2020/2021.
✓ Kindergarten classes are 3 hours in length. AM or PM assignments are determined by the school.

✓ A student cannot be enrolled in an FUSD school for the current school year if they are currently enrolled in another public or private school for the current school year. - Transfer Information - Intra & Inter-District Transfers - Intra & Inter-District Transfers (Alameda County only) applications will begin being accepted on April 1, 2021.

- Elementary How to Enroll 2020-21 School Year - Grades TK (Transitional Kindergarten) through Grade 6 (Students starting school August 2020). In following social distancing protocols, enrollments will be completed virtually. More information (2020-2021 Enrollment).
- Secondary How to Enroll Grade 7 through Grade 12 for 2020-2021 - Please visit your home secondary school website then under Contacts & Resources for Registrar/Enrollment/Registration. If you are not sure which school is your home school, use School Locator.
- Lottery and Wait Lists - Elementary schools participate in a Kindergarten lottery/wait lists when more Kinder students are enrolled than available space. Overload Complaint Form (pdf).
- Vaccine / Immunization Update 5/20 - Important information current requirements and no Personal Beliefs Exemptions.
- Transitional Kindergarten Program Information - PLEASE NOTE Initial grade placement of enrolling students shall be based on chronological age (BP 5111).
- Science Magnet - Mattos Elementary offers opportunity to transfer into a science program. Admission is based on available space.
- 2018-2019 Before/After School Child Care Providers Not operated by FUSD. Providers are subject to change.
