    Dear Brookvale Families,
I want to welcome you to the 2016-17 school year.  As the Principal of Brookvale and I am proud to represent our wonderful school and very pleased that your family will be a part of the Brookvale community for the upcoming school year.
I look forward to welcoming all students on Wednesday, August 31st.  The AM kindergarten and AM Transitional Kindergarten classes will begin at 8:10 AM, the PM sessions will begin at 11:35 AM and grades 1-6th will begin school promptly at 8:15 AM.  The first school bell will ring at 8:10 AM for primary and intermediate students.
I value and appreciate the strong partnerships that we have with our school families, and we recognize this is key to a quality education for our children.  I know that all of our Brookvale children will bring unique personalities and individual experiences and abilities with them. Our hope at Brookvale is to instill a love of learning in each student and allow them ample opportunities to explore their interests and passions within the school setting.  Our Brookvale Vision statement is:  Every child valued, inspired, challenged and educated.
Our staff recognizes and appreciates that learning opportunities happen everywhere – in the classroom, on the playground and at home. At school, our outstanding staff and teachers are focused on providing a learning environment where our students feel valued, inspired, and challenged and can thrive to be successful individuals.
Working in partnership with our families, I hope to provide a supportive and safe environment where our young students can take risks, make mistakes but learn from them, build resilience and develop a strong foundation of academic and life skills. Our common goal is to prepare our children for the 21st century and have fun while accomplishing this goal!
Please feel free to email me with any questions, concerns or words of gratitude anytime during the school year.  Open communication is the key to a successful school and it is my goal to continue to make our school a success.
My email address is posted below for easy access in communicating with me.  I always encourage parents to email me at the address below to ensure the quickest and most efficient response regarding communications.
