Welcome to the Brookvale Library web page.  My name is Therese Baeza and this is my twelth year as a librarian with Fremont School District.  I was a librarian for eight years in the Los Angeles area before relocating to Northern California.  My goal is to make our library the hub of literacy on our campus with story time, checkout and laptop computers for research.  I am also continuously searching for new and exciting books to add to our collection that support the our language arts program and the Common Core Standards for the state.

Students, TK (transitional kinder) - sixth visit the library once a week for 30 minutes with their class.  Checkout is: TK/Kinder/1st & 2nd grade - 2 books, 3rd to 6th grade - 3 books.  Parents may check out books too, just come by the library to set up an account.  The cost of replacement for lost or damaged books is set by the District, $25 for hardbacks and $10 for paperbacks.

I want to urge all students to use Destiny, the district's online library catalog from home, the link is located on the left side of this page under quick links. Students can look for materials needed for projects and their availability before they come to the library. This will better utilize their time in the library and help me tremendously in serving the students.  Grades 3 - 6 will receive orientation using Destiny.

If you are interested in volunteering at our beautiful library please contact me.  I can always use help shelving books, check in/out and processing new book orders.

District policy is that the library will be open 240 minutes a week during non-instructional time for student use.  Below are the times the library is open for students to visit.
