Principal Picture On behalf of our entire staff, I welcome the Brier community to the 2017-2018 school year. We are fervent about the opportunities that lie ahead for our students with regard to learning this year.  Our dedicated teachers, support staff and administration are committed to ensuring high levels of learning in a safe and positive environment. Here at Brier, we are all committed to excellence, embracing high expectations for all, holding students and ourselves accountable and encouraging character education and scholarly habits   I believe strongly that when students, teachers, parents, administration and support staff work together, the outcome is success. I will put forth every effort to ensure all students reach their academic and affective potential. It is because of the aforementioned that Brier is the recipient of the 2015-2016 California Gold Ribbon Award of Excellence and the Gold Ribbon Award of Excellence for Title 1 schools.

Providing a safe and healthy learning environment is our number one priority. Thus, we continue to apply our Eight Great Traits character education program and Scholarly Habits to to promote self-esteem, positive character and teach life skills that are imperative to success. We will continue to fill each other's buckets with caring words, acts of kindness, and positive thoughts. Please join with me in our effort to make Brier the absolute BEST school it can be!

The Brier community will ensure high levels of learning for all students in a safe and positive environment.

Living up to Brier's mission statement is very important to our entire staff. The dedicated teachers collaborate regularly to plan and implement a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students. Full implementation of the Common Core State Standards will ensure high levels of learning as there is much critical thinking and problem solving in all areas of the CCSS! WIN time ia an intervention eriod that occurs during the school day. This ensure that all students receive what they need, whether it be extra support with learning English, extra support with mastering the priority stands or enrichment to go above and beyond.  The Brier Brainiacs program for grades 3-6 is offered after school. This program assists students with homework and extends recreational and enrichment opportunities such as dance, science, and art. Please see the link under "Activities."

At Brier we recognize the importance of parent volunteers and encourage all parents to become active participants in their child's education. There are many opportunities for families to attend activities at Brier this year. I invite you to view other links on this site, including the classroom teacher link. We are looking forward to another year of celebrating our students' growth and successes. Please contact me if you have questions, suggestions or concerns.

    Warm Regards,
    Mrs. Williams
