Continuing Intra Transfers (district-district)
If you attended JFK High School with an Intra the window to re-apply is February 11, 2019. This need's to be done every school year. - Priority period ends March 8. Transfers received after priority period will NOT be reviewed and processed until AFTER 6/30.
continuing Inter District Transfers (withing FUSD district)
If you attended JFK High School with an Inter District Transfer the window to re-apply is April 2, 2019- Ongoing. This need's to be done every school year. - Student Support Service will review transfers, and letters will be mailed to parents/guardians and schools.
New Intra-District Transfers: (Withing FUSD) Open Schools: TBD by the district
New Intra District Transfers will be accepted May 6, 2019 - Ongoing, after the student has registered at his/her home school.
Ask the home school Registrar for the Intra-Dristrict Transfer form. Student Support Services will receive/review transfers. Notification letters will be mailed to the parents/guardians and schools.
New Inter-District Transfers: (Outside of FUSD)
New Inter district transfers will be accepted starting April 2, 2019-ongoing. Student Support Services will receive and review transfers. Transfers are considered based on available space at schoools AFTER all Fremont resident students are places. Letters will be mailed to parents/guardians and schools during.Lottery: March 4, 2019 - March 22, 2019Lottery application at resident school site. Submit completed Open Enrollment form lottery application to Student Support Services, 4210 Technology Dr., Room 160. Please note: Open schools for 2019/2020 have not been determined. Website will be updated as soon as information becomes available.
How to register a new student
Kennedy's Open House will be Thursday February 21st, 6:30- 8:00pm in the GYM all incoming 9th graders welcome.Appointments to register for 2019/2020 schoo year will begin on March 4, 2019.Call 510-657-4070 X27010. Any of our front office staff can make an appointment for you to meet with the Registrar, if Registrar is not available when you call.DO NOT make an appointment if you DO NOT have ALL of the information required to register your child and ALL your paperwork completed.We DO NOT PRE- ENROLL students coming from out of state OR out- of - country. Once the student is in Fremont and their familyhas established permanent residency in our attendance area and can provide residence documentation, the parent/guardian may complete the enrollment packet and contact the registrar to make an appointment. We cannot make exceptions to this policy.There are 2 ways you can register your student at John F. Kennedy High School.1. Go to the school office and pick up an enrollment packet. Once all the forms are completed and you have all the required documentation, schedule an appointment to register your student.2. Download and print the registration requirements. After reviewing the requiremts print and complete the registration packet. Schedule an appointment to register your student. Bring the completed forms and the other required documentation to your appointment. If forms are not complete or you do not have the required documents, please call to re-schedule your appoitment.2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR2019-2020 Forms will be avilable soon!Once the forms are completed bring them to your appointment with the Registrar. Be sure to bring all required documents listed on the forms. If your student is coming from a foreign country we need to make a copy of the original transcript document showing the name of the student, dates, classes, and grades for all their high school years. The document needs to be stamped and signed by the school. Emailed documents or copies of documents are not acceptable. If you are coming from another school in the United States, please bring a copy of your transcript with you. It does not need to be official.Documentation Needed to Enroll a New Student:1. Birth Certificate of Student2. Up-To-Date Immunizations3 Polio, 4 DPT one dose on/after 4th birthday; 1 Pertussis (Whooping Cough) booster on/after 7th birthday; 2 MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) both doses on/after 1st birthday; 2 doses Varicella or proof of disease (Chickenpox), and 3 doses Hepatitis B. 3. Transcripts (10-12th Graders) and or Check Out Grades (All Students) If you are entering from another country the following academic documentation is required: Official school transcript (bearing school seal and official signatures) in a sealed envelope.4. If your student is currently in 8th grade and you are registering for next school year, please bring a copy of your student’s latest report card.5. Proof of Residency (See Homeowners/Renters Statement)6. Student must be accompanied by parent or guardian when enrolling. (The student does not need to be present if you are registering for next school year.)
If you are leaving John F. Kennedy High School you need to have a parent/guardian contact your Attendance Clerk. A checkout sheet will be generated which you will need to bring to your teachers/library to sign. Your next step is to take the sign out sheet to Ms. Facha in the Business Office. She will check for any overdue books, etc. YOU CANNOT CHECK OUT WITHOUT ALL THE REQUIRED SIGNATURES. Your final stop will be with the Registrar. You will be given a copy of the checkout sheet and a copy of your transcript to take to your new school (As long as all debt's are paid). If you owe money or have missing books, your new school will receive an unofficial copy of your transcripts. Schools require an official copy to give you credit for the classes you have taken. So it is best to pay all your debts as you are leaving.COURSE CATALOG:
