    August 2016

    Hello Warm Springs Community,

Welcome to the 2016 - 2017 school year!  I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful summer, full of family fun.  We sure did, as I was able to spend a ton of quality time with my wife Emily and our three boys who are all under the age of seven!  We were able to do plenty of traveling which is always a good thing with three boys and it also preserved our house a little more - given how active they are.  We can't believe how fast they are growing!

I am very excited to return to the Warm Springs community as your child’s Principal.  As always, Ms. Graham and I are here to be of service to you.  Please remember that I have an open door policy, so please feel free to pop in any time.  I am here to support you and your child in maximizing their learning, growth and positive experience.  We have an excellent teaching staff.  I speak from direct experience when I say that each and every one of our educators is highly trained, collaborative and have children’s overall growth and development in mind.  They are truly concerned with the whole student and are committed to every student’s true potential and growth.  Together we will continue to Dream it!  Believe it! and Achieve it!

Looking forward to another amazing year,

     Scott Iwata

Message from the Assistant Principal, Ms. Graham

Dear Warm Springs Elementary School community,

It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Warm Springs Elementary School. I bring with me ten years of experience in the K-8 arena; eight years as a teacher, one year as a teacher on special assignment and one year of as an administrator, all in Oakland.  I am excited for the opportunity to work in Fremont and look forward to collaborating with Principal Scott Iwata and the Warm Springs community to continue the great work that is already being done.

The elementary school years are important and critical times for students. What happens during these years will have a lasting impression on their growth and development socially and academically. My goal as Assistant Principal is to provide leadership that will facilitate a school environment that is safe and respectable, in order for your child to receive the best possible academic instruction. I am confident that Warm Springs will continue to be a place where our students can learn and grow academically and socially.

I look forward to meeting the Warm Springs community when school begins in August.  Please feel free to stop by and say hello anytime, my door is always open.  If there is  anything I can assist you with, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    In partnership,

    Dana Graham
