NOTICE OF CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTION OF REVISED SCHOOL FACILITIES NEEDS ANALYSIS PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTIONS 65995.5-65995.7
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of the Fremont Unified School District (“District”), at its board meeting to be held on October 11, 2017, will hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of a revised School Facilities Needs Analysis (“Revised SFNA”). The Board desires to revise the School Facilities Needs Analysis that was adopted on May 10, 2017 (“May SFNA”), to correct typographical errors and add clarifying language. The existing school building capacity is recalculated as part of the proposed Revised SFNA as required under Government Code 65995.6, but the proposed revisions in the Revised SFNA do not alter the analysis of the May SFNA or modify the calculation of the Level 2 and Level 3 school facility fees, which were adopted and authorized by the Board on May 10, 2017. The current Level 2 ($13.05/sf) and Level 3 ($26.11/sf) school facility fees will remain unchanged.
The meeting of the District’s Board of Education will begin at approximately 6:00 p.m. on October 11, 2017, at the Fremont Unified School District Education Center Board Room, located at 4210 Technology Drive, Fremont, CA 94537. Members of the public are invited to comment on the Revised SFNA in writing, on or before October 11, 2017, or appear in person at the hearing.
The Revised School Facility Needs Analysis (65 page 1.5 meg pdf) is available for public review during normal business hours at the District’s administrative office, located at 4210 Technology Drive, Fremont, CA 94537.
A public hearing will be held at 6:30PM on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017, in the Fremont Unified School District Board Room, 4210 Technology Drive, Fremont California.
The Fremont USD governing board shall make a determination of sufficient textbooks and/or instructional materials in the areas of Math, Science, History/Social Science, Reading/Language Arts, Foreign Language and Health that are consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum framework adopted by the State Board and in the area of Science laboratory equipment for grades 9-12, as appropriate.
