Students United for the Representation to the
Fremont Board of Education (SURFBoardE)
SURFBoardE is a student group comprised of twenty-three students from schools in the Fremont Unified School District It includes three representatives from each highschool, American, Irvington, Kennedy, Mission, Washington, and Robertson. And one reprentative and alternate representative from each junior highschool Thornton, Horner, Walters, Hopkins, and Centerville. The student group serves as a liaison between the 35,000 students of FUSD and the district's Board of Education. The SURFBoardE meets bi-monthly at the district office to plan the District Representative Conference (DRC), discuss student issues (like shifting the calendar), and most importantly be the student voice at a district level.
