  • FUSD Board of Education to Weigh Approval of Centerville Junior High School Conversion and Modernization at Oct. 25, 2017 Board Meeting

At its next meeting, on October 25, 2017, Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) staff will recommend that the  Board of Education approve the Centerville Junior High School  (Centerville) modernization project, which includes  conversion to a middle school serving sixth- through eighth-grade students. Board approval of the project would mean sweeping improvements to the school including:

    • New administration building and physical education facility
    • New classrooms
    • Reconfigured library
    • Comprehensive upgrades to the school’s IT and safety infrastructures

The Centerville project would be funded by the voter-approved Measure E bond. Community members are invited to share their views of the proposed project when the Board opens the floor to public comments before voting on the agenda item. The meeting is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. in the Education Center – Board Room – at the FUSD District Office, 4210 Technology Drive. Call 510-657-2350 for more information.
