The success of Warwick Elementary is due to its excellent and committed staff and its consistent and bona fide parent involvement. Our student achievement levels rise each year on state tests and many special programs have been developed through parent-volunteer and teacher partnerships.
Principal - Barbara Ochoa
1. Boys and girls will no longer be separated. Boys and girls will be taught the same curriculum together in the same room at the same time.
2. The new content is much more in-depth and explicit than the former curriculum. Please, use this link to see the full instructional guide for grades 4-8. You can select your child's grade from within the document.
3. State law allows parents/guardians to remove their student from the Health, Puberty, and Sexuality lessons. Students opting out of this instruction will be provided alternate curriculum under the supervision of a credentialed teacher. If parent/guardian does not want their student to participate in the Health, Puberty, and Sexuality education program, they must provide, in writing (email or on paper), a note to student’s teacher.
You are encouraged to look the new curriculum over, attend one of the parent information nights to be held at the district office, and direct any concerns you might have to the district.
On your scheduled PE days, be sure to wear athletic shoes that can be fastened to your feet and cover your toes. You also need to come prepared with a water bottle. Water breaks only happen at the end of class, so help yourself by having water on hand.
Thank you, Amaya, for creating our beautiful Warwick Wizards sign!
