Become a Member of the Measure K Citizens’ Oversight Committee

The Measure K Committee is actively looking for new members.  Members may be a parent or guardian of a current FUSD student or a business/community member in the City of Fremont.  Qualified applicants must be eligible to vote in the Fremont Unified School District and may not be an employee, official, vendor, contractor, or consultant of the District.  If you would like more information about the committee or you would like to apply to become a member, please contact the office of Raul A. Parungao, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, at 510-659-2572.

 

Please watch or attend the Board of Education meeting on June 26, 2013. The current Measure K Committee will present its annual report of the committee’s activities for the 2012-2013 school year and a report of the revenues and expenditures of the Measure K fund. The Measure K Parcel Tax was approved the voters of Fremont in November 2010, and is in effect for a 5-year period.

AC Transit is proposing a new Plan in central and south Alameda County that would make bus service more reliable, more frequent, and more predictable. There will be two upcoming opportunities for the public to learn more and provide comment on the Plan.

Public comments on the Plan may be submitted by Monday, May 20 at 5:00 p.m. – by email, phone, fax, or mail. Attendees of the May 14 community meeting or May 22 public hearing may also submit comments at these events.

SUMMER SCHOOL 2013

Location: IRVINGTON HIGH SCHOOL

Dates: JUNE 27-AUGUST 7

Completed forms are due by MAY 3. All students who have failed a class needed for graduation must attend Summer School. Students who have D's in college prep courses should also attend to improve the grade since universities do not accept D's or F's.
