Can you believe that we are entering the final stretch of the 2014/2015 school year? This year has flown by!
As you probably know, our 3rd – 6th grade students have been busy with Smarter Balance testing since the end of last month. We are so proud of our students for their good behavior and focus during this time.
We have an excited group of 6th graders preparing for Science Camp next week. This will be an educational experience of a lifetime for them! A HUGE Chadbourne thank you to our amazing parent volunteers for organizing this huge event. Science Camp is no small undertaking and these parents have donated countless hours making sure that everything is ready. A special thank you to our dedicated School Nurse, Marcia Foley, for all of her hard work overseeing the medications and Doctors’ orders.
Our final School Spirit Day is going to be a combo of fun! Friday, June 5th is our Beach Party/Class Color Day. Students please come to school wearing your favorite beach clothes (no bathing suits) – paying attention to your class color. Kindergarten: Yellow, 1st Grade: Green, 2nd Grade: Blue, 3rd Grade: Red, 4th Grade: Purple, 5th Grade: Orange, 6th Grade: Rainbow (mix of colors).
Chadbourne’s Open House is Tuesday, May 26th. Don’t miss it! This is a very important event at our school. Support our CFFA and the Boys Scouts of American by buying dinner from the Food Truck Mafia starting at 5:30pm. They will be on campus with many options for your family to choose from for dinner. In order for us to continue this fundraiser and fun tradition we need a big turn out from our Chadbourne families! Our Chadbourne Art Show begins at 6:00pm and your students’ classrooms will be open from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. We are looking forward to seeing every family at our Open House. Your students and their teachers are looking forward to showing you the fabulous things they have been working on in class all year.
