November is a a short month in the world of education. The school year is moving along smoothly and students are doing an excellent job socially and academically. Parent/teacher conferences are taking place this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents who have taken the time to meet their child’s teacher and take an active role in their child’s edcuation. Parent conferences are a great time to analyze your student’s progress in their class, and set new academic goals for the upcoming trimester.
As we prepare for a short break from academics, November 24-28, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. This is a wonderful time to travel and be with family. Please keep in mind how fortunate we are to live in this country and be thankful for all that we have.
I look forward to seeing everyone next Monday, December 1, 2014, and know your students will be re-energized and ready to continue learning.
On May 7, 2014, the Fremont Board of Education unanimously voted to adopt new math programs for grades kindergarten through eight.
