Principal's Message

 
Dear Patterson Families:
 
Welcome Back!  I hope that each of you had a terrific summer and that you are ready to get back to work, learning and growing this year.  You are in store for an exciting and challenging year filled with a rigorous curriculum, making new friends and lots of fun!  The staff, parents and community of Patterson Elementary School will work together as a TEAM (together Everyone Achieves More) to ensure student success!
 
We want an excellent school year and a great beginning!  All students are expected to arrive to school on time, ready to learn and bringing the necessary tools to support learning.  We will continue to implement the Eight Great Traits and our three basic school rules of: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful.  Practicing these traits and adhering to the school rules will support all of us becoming better citizens at Patterson and in our diverse society.
 
We will continue to provide an equitable and safe learning environment for all.  Various intervention strategies will be implemented to assist in closing the achievement gap.  In order for us to close that gap, we need to have all students in attendance every day he/she is not ill.  Regular attendance is of the upmost importance!
 
Your teachers and I want to welcome you back to the 2010-2011 school year.  Together, we will accomplish great things!
