Welcome parents/guardians of Forest Park Elementary! Our
administration, teachers, and dedicated staff are committed
to providing students with rich academic learning opportunities that foster high self-esteem, social responsibility, and an appreciation for cultural diversity. Our teachers strive to develop students’ critical thinking skills in learning environments that will help to prepare them to participate in a global community. Our past academic efforts have been rewarded, with the school being recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School in 2004, and a California Distinguished School for both the 2002 and 2006 school year. This tradition of excellence was extended this year, with the school’s Academic Performance Index (API) rising to 975.
Additional school extracurricular activities and instructional opportunities that help shape and build student leadership include: student government, band, intramural basketball, math olympiad, and foreign language enrichment programs. We are also blessed to have numerous family functions sponsored by our outstanding PTA.

Our facilities are also unique. Forest Park is the largest elementary school in the Fremont Unified School District. The school grounds are uniquely designed to foster student learning environments as they include: spacious classrooms, a state of the art computer lab, a multi-media center, and large courtyards. The school utilizes many progressive technologies including internet access in all classrooms and a Television Studio where students broadcast weekly school activities and news programs to all classrooms.

I am both privileged and honored to join the Forest Park educational community and look forward to extending the school’s rich tradition of academic excellence. Should you have any questions or wish to volunteer, feel free to contact me.

  • Last Day of School
    Wednesday, June 13, 2012
The last day for students to attend school in the current year will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. When the calendar was developed a year ago, we planned to end school a day later, but the date has changed to June 13, 2012. The school year is being reduced by one day due to mid-year State budget reductions.
