Message from the Principal

To provide the best education we can for our students, we need to ensure the Brookvale staff and students have the best environmental conditions and resources available.

The future holds an exciting challenge for our students and the learning environment we establish will play a vital role in ensuring our students are equipped with the personal values and learning skills necessary to become lifelong learners.

Increasingly schools are being asked to define what is important for them to achieve and to be able to demonstrate that they have been successful. Our challenge this year is the implementation of our new vision and mission statements.

The Brookvale staff will ensure that we are continually facilitating multiple efforts to put into place our guiding beliefs and to improve our teaching and learning environment. The Brookvale staff and school community came together via multiple meetings for input to establish our new new Vision and Mission statement that is centered around student success.

Our new vision statement is:

"Brookvale Elementary School....Where ALL students are VALUED, INSPIRED, CHALLENGED and EDUCATED.

Our new Mission statement is:

"Through rigorous standards, character education and a safe learning environment, students will be provided with multiple opportunities to develop the skills they need to reach their full potential."

Everyone on the Brookvale staff is committed to the work necessary to help students become successful individuals as they conquer the current expecatations in California to close the achievement gap.
