Hello Warm Springs Community,
I would like to take this time to briefly introduce myself. My name is Scott Iwata and I am very excited to become part of the extraordinary Warm Springs community as your child’s Principal. I know this is going to be another great year and I will do my very best to keep in place all the wonderful programs, academic rigor and whole child based learning that makes Warms Springs unique, diverse and a California Distinguished School.
I live in San Ramon, but grew up in Union City. My wife, Emily, teaches 4th grade at Forest Park Elementary school in the Mandarin Enrichment Program. Forest Park is also part of the Fremont Unified School District. I taught intermediate grades at Forest Park for 11 years. I also have a lot of experience with Response to Intervention, as I was also a teacher on special assignment and supported Harvey Green and Hirsch Elementary School as an intervention coach. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, an MS in Educational Technology Leadership, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Administrative Credential from Cal State Eastbay and San Francisco State. Emily and I have two beautiful boys, River (3) and Rhys (pronounced like Reese) (1). I love being able to spend as much time as possible with them as they constantly keep me on my toes. I also love writing and producing music and have two full-length albums.
I look forward to being of service to the Warm Springs community and cannot wait to meet you all. I have an open door policy, so please feel free to pop in anytime. I am here to support you and your child in maximizing their learning growth and experience. Warm Springs has an excellent staff of highly trained and dedicated experts. Together we will continue to: Dream it! Believe it! Achieve it!
Looking forward to an amazing year,
Warm Springs Elementary
