Welcome to the Chadbourne Elementary School website. The essence of education at Chadbourne is our commitment to the whole child. We continually strive for academic excellence while recognizing our students' need for a balanced well-rounded education that includes both their social and emotional development.

Chadbourne is a student-centered learning community, where the needs of each and every student are our number-one priority. We have a rigorous standards-based curriculum, a balanced instructional program, a dedicated staff and involved parents, which allows each student to optimize their abilities and potential.

Our actions and decisions are filtered through the following guiding principles:

  • Every student will be challenged to succeed
  • Every student will experience quality learning through excellence in teaching
  • Every adult will apply "my child" standards to all students
  • Every adult and student will work and learn in a safe, orderly, and nurturing environment

In 2008, Chadbourne ranked 10th statewide and 10th in the similar school ranking of the California Department of Education STAR testing program. Our Academic Performance Index (API) is 983. Our staff and our community are proud of our academic achievement. As you view our web pages you will find useful information about our programs and activities, what is happening in your child's classroom, and discover ways that you can be an integral part of your child's learning experience.

  • Last Day of School
    Wednesday, June 13, 2012
The last day for students to attend school in the current year will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. When the calendar was developed a year ago, we planned to end school a day later, but the date has changed to June 13, 2012. The school year is being reduced by one day due to mid-year State budget reductions.
