Summer Bridge Update: Thank you parents who have registered we are excited to start our program on August 20th. Please drop students off in the horse who parking lot near the main office. We will be in the classrooms next to the main office. There will be student volunteers to help make sure all students find their classroom on the first day.
Summer Bridge Update: We are almost full for our Summer Bridge Program 2012! We will be taking enrollment until August 15th or until we fill up. If you haven't registered yet and still want to please sign up as soon as possible.
Summer Bridge is Almost Here!

Why: To get in-coming 9th graders ready to attend Irvington High School

Summer Bridge is a program offered by Irvington High to get in-coming 9th graders ready to transition from Junior High to High School. It is taught by Irvington High teachers and introduces in-coming freshmen to Irvington’s special programs and the expectations of high school. It is a one week, half day set of classes that will focus on Irvington culture, study skills, and Math and English readiness. This is a great opportunity for students to make new friends and get ready for the first day of school!
This is a free program offered to all in-coming Irvington freshmen..
Students attending Summer Bridge should bring:
· Pen/pencil
· Paper
· Snack for break time

El Puente de Verano (Summer Bridge) es un programa que se ofrece a los estudiantes de nuevo ingreso del 9o grado para prepararlos a la transición de la secundaria a la preparatoria. El programa lo imparten los maestros de la preparatoria Irvington e introduce a los estudiantes del 9º grado a los programas especiales de Irvington y a las expectativas de la preparatoria. Son clases de mediodía por una semana que se enfocarán en la cultura de Irvington, en las destrezas de estudio y en la preparación de matemáticas e inglés. Esta es una gran oportunidad para que los estudiantes hagan nuevos amigos y estén listos para el primer día de clases.
