Parent Satisfaction Survey

The annual Parent Satisfaction Survey for 2017 is live. The feedback will directly contribute to Fremont Unified’s 2016-17 LCAP plan, as well as give us valuable information about parent engagement at district schools. 6th Grade Math Placement Parent Information Night

Join us for an informational session on the 6th grade math placement process.  This session will cover the secondary math pathways and explanation of criteria used for the process. Information Nights will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the District Office, 4210 Technology Dr. (Professional Development Center) Please contact Curriculum and Instruction at 510-657-2350 ext. 12705 if you have questions about this event.

Reservation Form for 2017-2018:

Reservation forms for students currently in TK thru 5th grade were mailed on February 13th. The deadline to return the form with the proof of residency is February 28th.

Kindergarten and TK Registration

If you have a child who will be 5 years old by September 1, 2017, your child is eligible to attend kindergarten in 2017-2018.  If your child’s birthday falls between September 2, 2017 and December 2, 2017 your child is eligible for TK. Please pay close attention to this Registration & Enrollment information.

· Online priority enrollment for new TK-K students is February 15 to March 29th, 2017.
· Enrollment for new TK-6th grade students begins May 8th, 2017 and is ongoing.

The yearbook order information is posted on our home page.  Please check under eflyers for the order information. Priority orders end on April 25, 2017.

Basketball Schedule for 2016-2017:   All games begin at 3:30 with the second game starting 10 minutes after the first game usually around 4:20.

Tdap for students Entering 7th grade

All students entering the 7th grade in the 2017/2018 school year must receive a Tdap (Pertussis/ Whooping Cough) booster shot before entering school in August 2017. 

Proof of the vaccine must include:  Student’s name, date of birth, vaccine name, date vaccine administered and name of the clinic, office, or doctor administering the vaccine.

We highly encourage you to have your student receive the TDAP vaccine now and to bring proof to your student’s current school office as soon as possible.  This will prevent delaying registration and selection of courses for 7th grade.

Mission Attendance Area Elementary Music Parent Information Night for Students Entering 7th Grade in 2017-2018

Do you know that Hopkins JHS has one of the best Middle School Bands and the Best Middle School Orchestra in California?

On Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at 7 p.m., the Hopkins JHS Instrumental Music Department will be holding a Music Information Night for students entering 7th grade at Hopkins in August, 2016.  This night is for parents of all current 6th grade band and string students in the Mission San Jose Attendance Area (Chadbourne, Gomes, Mission San Jose, and Mission Valley Elementary Schools), and for any other parents interested in learning more about the Award-Winning Instrumental Music Department at Hopkins.  (Students can begin playing band instruments in 7th grade even if they have never played an instrument before!)  Topics to be covered include the music classes offered at Hopkins, the registration process for students entering Hopkins in 2017-2018, and the many benefits of taking music classes in school.  For more information, please visit the Hopkins Instrumental Music Department website at www.musicathopkins.com or contact Mr. Greg Conway, Hopkins Director of Instrumental Music, at gconway@musicathopkins.com.  Also, an information packet about the Hopkins JHS Bands and Orchestras will be mailed to all 6th grade students, so please watch for yours in the mail!


School Accountability Report Card (SARC) Notice

Each year in February, the SARCs are published on our web site. The public can find them at FUSD/Resources & Contacts/School Reports here. Please put a notice about the availability of the SARCs in your next newsletter. The required text is available in English, Spanish, and Chinese.​

 
Change of Address/Residency:

Please be reminded that it is the responsibility of parents under Board Policy 5111 to notify the school office within five (5) days if they move in or out of the attendance area.  Any move within the attendance area still requires four (4) new proofs of residency to verify the new address.  Failure to do so will result in revocation of the student’s placement at the school.
