Homework Policy

          Parent-supported  homework should help students become self-directed, self-disciplined, and independent learners to improve their immediate learning, as well as their long-term academic achievement.

          The total time for student homework will be within the district adopted standards of 30-45 minutes per evening.  Monday through Thursday.  All aspects of homework are considered important, including completion, quality, accuracy, and effort.

          Homework will be reasonable in expectation, appropriate to the developmental needs of the students, and relevant to instruction.  Each student is responsible for writing daily assignments in their Student Planner.  This home-school connection needs to be returned daily with parent signature/initials.

          Homework will be reviewed, corrected, and feedback will be given to students.
This homework will be sent home in the Wildcat folder each Tuesday.
