    WebPages for Teen Writers

Know any good websites? Please let your librarians know so we can add them!

Teen Ink Read fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and reviews written by teens. Also see art, photography, and video submitted by teens. Get your own work published too! Teen Ink also has a forum for writers to share ideas and get help from each other.

IPL’s (Internet Public Library) Teen Poetry Wiki Read and submit poetry. Go to the Word Play page for fun exercises for creating poems. Become a member and get your own wiki page and be able to comment on others’ poetry.

Fanfiction.net is a site for writers who are inspired by a favorite story, poem, or movie. All submissions are based on works written or produced by others. For example, you will find tons of spin-offs and alternate endings for the Twilight series, Sailor Moon anime, and Pirates of the Caribbean written by fans of the original works. This is a huge database so it’s very likely you will find your favorite titles here.

Playfic.com lets you create and play interactive fiction games online. You will use Inform 7, a programming system that uses natural language instead of complex codes, to lead your friends through a world that you create.

Represent Magazine: the Voice of Youth in Care has articles written by youth in foster care as well as resources for various topics.
