Grading:

            Students are graded on:

                     

  • Sportsmanship (showing respect, cooperating with others, follows classroom rules)
  • Participation (effort, time on task, wearing the correct shoes)
  • Fitness (Muscular strength, cardio-respiratory endurance (running), flexibility)
  • Movement skills (demonstrating how well you are able to move your body, such as hitting an object, throwing and catching, etc.)
  • Demonstrates knowledge of rules: (basic understanding of games/sports)

 

Food:

 

                                  No food in class.  You may bring water to drink if needed.

 

Sick or Injured:
                          You must have a note from your parent or doctor to be excused from participating in P.E.

Safety:   

                          You must wear sneakers with either laces or Velcro.  No boots, hiking boots, cleats, sandals, slip on shoes, dance shoes and so on.
                          If you do not wear sneakers, there is a possibility that you will not be allowed to participate in the activity for safety reasons.
