My name is Barbara Mathias and I will be your child’s teacher this year. Besides teaching kindergarten, I have also taught Parent Education for the Fremont Adult School and been Executive Director of Fremont Parents Nursery School. I have two California teaching credentials and a Master’s degree in early childhood education.

To start the year all you need to do is send your child with a small HEALTHY snack and a backpack. If you want to donate supplies from the list given that would be fine, but a $40 donation, or whatever you can afford would be even better.

I really look forward to meeting all of you. I feel it is VERY important to establish good communication between school and home. I know that as a team, we can help your child have a fun and full year of learning. I am always looking for help in the classroom, so if you’d like to dig in let me know. I know the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is always looking for helpers too, so please get involved. I look forward to being your partner in educating your child. Please mark your calendar now for Back to School Night on September 18, 7:00 PM (meet in the muti-use room). This will be a time where you will learn more about what will be happening in room 7. I will be going over, homework requirements, curriculum, behavior expectations and more. Please plan on attending this important night.
