  • 06/2009 Final Speech to Assembly in Many Languages

    Here is the final speech to the assembly.  It was great!  Other teachers told me it was very good.  I thought everyone did a great job.

    Speech To Final Assembly on Wednesday June 10.

    Introduction-English: This is a message of support and hope in many languages from Room 18 Intermediate High ESL. It is inspired by a quote from Nelson Mandela. "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

     

    Speech :
    Thank you teachers, and congratulations classmates for helping to change the world.
    We are learning English to improve our lives, reach the American dream (or integrate into American society), and connect the globe.

    How can we succeed?

    We must continue our studies.

    We must practice every day.

    We must try to speak even when we are afraid.

    Keep hoping and working for your bright future.

    We can do it. We must do it.

     

    Closing-English: To the school and teachers we hope you can continue your work and support to this community for many years to come.
