MSJE wins 2015 Habitat means Home contest
At the recent Habitat means Home poster contest, MSJE 3rd grader Hannah C. beat competing students from the Tricites public schools and came home with 1st place. The theme of the poster contest is a celebration of the diverse habitats and species found at Coyote Hills Regional Park. The judges were impressed by Hannah’s ability to convey her understanding of a habitat and species at Coyote Hills Regional Park not only through artistic interpretation but also through written responses to questions that ask why she selected the species and habitat that she did, what she learned, and why protecting this habitat and species is important. As part of her win, MSJE is awarded $500 to be used towards improving the habitat of all students. Congratulations Hannah!
